Privacy notice
Last updated: October 9, 2026
How information is handled across the STUSEC website and products. Browser tools and software that is still in development have different data practices, explained below.
STUSEC Online Tools
Local processing
Passwords, Markdown, typing input, encoding input and hashes are processed in your browser. STUSEC does not receive, log or save these inputs. Files selected for hashing are read locally, not uploaded. No tool input is stored in local storage or a database. Switching tools, leaving the page or reloading clears the current tool state. Copy writes to your clipboard only when you press Copy; Download saves a file only when you choose it. Your device and browser may retain clipboard contents or downloaded files.
